  • So apparently someone has tried to break into my apartment twice in the last 3 days. Great. Time to go move some of my stuff. #
  • Why is it that all of a sudden all these things that should be so simple are so complicated? #
  • Gotta love moving your most valuable possessions to downtown at midnight. :-( Better than having it all stolen at the old place. :-) #
  • I think XM Radio just rickrolled me! "… and don’t you know I would move Heaven and Earth to be together forever with you." DAMN YOU XM! #
  • Heading to see a possibly new place downtown. #
  • E-mail spam I just received: "PET FOR ADORPTION" Would you like to adorpt? #
  • I just spent an hour taking care of e-mails. So much for coming in to work early. #
  • @mmagnolia22 But there would only be traffic noise during morning rush hour… while we’re asleep… That could be a problem. #
  • @spazcer Make sure to schedule in time for dessert and a nap at your desk, that usually gives me 30 more minutes of good procrastination. #
  • @seanokey I sure could have used that advice this morning. My brain hurts. I think I’m forgetting how to typenxnndfihnkkk**&HNBNBBBGGGGGGGGG #
  • Waiting for the talent to show up. Not my own, though. The talking people. #
  • Time for dinner… finally. What sounds good? #
  • "Obama" was just closed captioned on our air as "BAM BAM" #
  • @dpstud Glad I could assist. I’m wondering if "Bam Bam" could catch on as a nickname, it’s definitely better than "Turd Blossom." #
  • @lostremote But business innovations cost money, we’re already busy burning out our employees coming up with content innovation ideas. #
  • Apparently the Indiana Association of Broadcasters gave me a shout out in their latest newsletter, I’ll have to check that out. #
  • @seanokey Hey by the way, one of our IB employees is heading down to work at your place of business… #

  • Placing all of the cat’s toys on top of her? Hilarious for us, possibly traumatic for her. #
  • Hmmm, I probably should have started writing these promotion spots earlier. Especially considering it’s sweeps. Be prepared for crap at 5:00 #
  • Wow. Stuff just keeps piling up. I’m not even in my office, but somehow they keep finding me. #
  • The President is blaming rising fuel costs on Congress. Oh, and if you own an SUV, but want to trade it in for a new car, you’re out of luck #
  • Finally time for some eats. Salad or Quizno’s? Is it sad that’s the hardest choice of my day? #

Twitter Updates for 2008-04-28

  • Back on teh Twitter. Yesterday almost killed me. Remind me to never again sign up for anything that includes "small post-production session" #
  • Does he not realize that the time over or under for each show is printed at the top of the rundown?! #
  • @seanokey Thanks for the reminder… #
  • The brain rot is hurting my head… How are all of these people related, and what’s up with all of the incest on "On Life To Live"? #
  • Editing these spots. We’ll see if the first one makes it to air in time. 6 minutes to go. #
  • Gotta love simlpe things that become… well, not simple. Grabbing video from every edit suite in the department. #
  • Half of the project done. Time to make and animated menu, oh and build the DVD. #

Twitter Updates for 2008-04-26

  • @dngrundy Because that’s how Chyron has always measured font sizes, not like those weirdos at Deko. #
  • "Modern Marvels: Pigs"… I think History is grasping at straws at this point. #
  • Oh, apparently it’s not just "Modern Marvels: Pigs". It’s actually "Modern Marvels: Pig Semen" (AKA. CSI: Porkington). Ewww. #
  • @brettdills Just curious which website you went through to get the federal voucher. #
  • Archiving video is never fun. #
  • @seanokey I don’t care that you won an SPJ award. But you could win an Emmy with that "Modern Marvels" special idea. #
  • @mmagnolia22 You teach that breaking news! Show it who’s boss. #
  • Wine, a Law & Order: SVU rerun, House and Robot Chicken. I lead an exciting life. Too bad I’m working Saturday AND Sunday. #
  • Upgrading WP to 2.5.1… We’ll see how this goes. #
  • Finished both in less than 15 minutes. Fun fun fun. Aqua Teen time. #

  • I won’t complain about free dinner. #
  • @mmagnolia22 Drive fast. Turn left. #
  • It’s always nerve-racking when you have nothing to do, 40 minutes before a live 3-hour show. #
  • On the air nationally for the Mecum Auction in 15 minutes. Fun times on HD Theater. #

Just a few noteworthy cars

Working these Mecum Auto Auctions up at the State Fairgrounds, I’ve had a chance to see some amazing cars. Here are just a handful of the ones going up on the block tonight (LIVE on HD Theater at 8:00 pm).

Twitter Updates for 2008-04-25

  • Smells like rain. Oh wait, it is raining. #
  • Waiting to watch the DVR-ed "Lost". Learning about "Cities of the Underworld" on History (no "Channel" anymore, too confusing; just History) #
  • OH NOES! Stupid Bright House cable box is locking up; if Lost isn’t okay, there will be PAIN! #
  • Mentally preparing for Ugly Betty and Lost. And what I’m going to bitch about tomorrow. #
  • Checking out a new place at the Mill No. 9 Lofts. #
  • So apparently our program lineup as wrong all day yesterday. Listing "Eli Stone" at 10:00p instead of "Lost" (which was AMAZING!). #
  • It always feels so nice to vent. Especially if you’re near an AC vent. #
  • Afternoon promotion: Done. Evening promotion: Work in progress. Cold beer: TBD. #
  • @mmagnolia22 That sounds similar to "Where can I see what a $20 bill looks like," coming from a bank teller. #
  • Thinking it’s about to close the MySpace account I started for no reason in college. #
  • Mmmm, time for Noodles. #

Quick update from 6 -and- what caused the earthquake

I spent a few hours early last week updating some of our news bumpers. They’re the quick 5 second spots that run between commercials in our newscasts. Most are things like, “Listen to 6 News in your car at 87.7 FM,” “School closings and delays. Get them first on the 6 News ticker during Good Morning Indiana.” Now you know.

I was pretty happy with how they turned out, especially for not taking a full day.

Now to what everyone wants to know, “What caused the Midwest earthquake?”

Well, judging by the switch in the Weather Office, I’d say the Off The Cuff guys or Kevin Gregory are to blame.
