That's me!I am Seth Keever, as you no doubt figured out from the URL you’re visiting. I’m no one famous. I’m no one important, except in my own mind.

WHAT I’M DOING (WASTING YOUR TIME)

This is just my own little place in cyberspace. The corner I sit in when I want to be insightful, funny, vent, etc.

I’m not great at one thing, but good at a lot of things. I know I’m not the best writer (but I’m working on it here), I know I’m not the funniest guy (failing miserably at that here) and I’m not the best photographer (I gave up on that when I was introduced to beer in college, now everything is blurry).

Obviously I am not the most dedicated blogger, just look at the way those posts in the archive fall off in late-2006 and mid-2007. A lot of that has to do with my job.

WHAT I DO

In an effort to keep the lights on at home, I am employed. I know, weird for a TCOM grad to have a steady paying gig. I’m the Promotion Editor at the Indianapolis ABC-affiliate. “Well, what in the hell does that mean?” I get that question a lot. The best answer I’ve come up with is:

You know those commercials for the news you see while your watching your favorite show in the afternoon (Judge Judy or Extra) or the evening (the wonderful programs from the ABC Television Network)? The ones that are all, “if you don’t watch our news your children could die,” I write, produce and edit those.

For the most part, that explanation works best.

Let me clarify, I was the Promotion Editor at RTV6. Now I’m the Manager of Digital Media at RTV6; still working on what exactly that means…

I wish I could blog about everything that goes on work (we get some juicy stories), but because of the competitive nature of news and commercial broadcast television I have to restrain myself most of the time. You’ll find videos and graphics I’ve edited throughout the site. On my freelance site, you’ll find more information about what I do in my spare time. It includes things that involve ESPN, FOX Sports and Big Ten Network.

SO WHAT’S THE POINT?

Frankly, I have no clue either. Read. Watch. Enjoy. Maybe.

Comment. Drop me a line. Write hate mail. The point doesn’t really matter.
